Here at Otway Beef our favourite way to eat diced Here at Otway Beef our favourite way to eat diced beef is on the BBQ. We like to marinate it overnight with a small amount of bicarbonate soda and vinegar to help tenderise the meat, along with our favourite herbs and spices for added flavour.

For beautifully tender skewers, another simple tip is to cook them quickly over high heat, keeping the centre slightly pink to ensure they remain juicy and soft.

Bellarine Farmgate is one of our most favourite places, it could technically be called a market, but it feels more like a green grocer where everything is grown just around the corner, organically and with care. It’s the ultimate fruit and veg shop filled with incredible local producers!

If you haven’t visited yet, we highly recommend it. Open every weekend, but be quick because the local produce always sells fast!

No words, just a heavy-bottomed pot in the oven at 180° for 3 hours, lid on and a few cups of water. Don’t forget to stab in some fresh garlic, drizzle with olive oil and lemon, then season generously with smoked paprika, oregano, salt & pepper. An hour before it’s ready, pop in your potatoes and finish with another hit of seasoning.

It’s been a positive start to 2026 here at Otway It’s been a positive start to 2026 here at Otway Beef. Calving is underway and we’re welcoming new calves every day. We’re grateful to still have green feed in our paddocks, especially as much of Victoria is already dry. Our thoughts are with the farmers doing it tough, but we wanted to share some good news from our farm. With calves arriving on the ground, our herd is growing… meaning more Otway Beef available in 2026 and even more again in 2027 🤠
These sticky glazed Otway Beef short ribs were abs These sticky glazed Otway Beef short ribs were absolutely incredible! 

They are so tender and full of flavour. We generously coated each rib with @dextersspiceco Kansas spice rub then cooked them in home made BBQ sauce for 3.5 hours at 160°.

So easy to make and so unbelievably delicious!
