This isn’t your average spaghetti Bolognese… This isn’t your average spaghetti Bolognese… It starts with premium Otway Beef mince.. that tastes more like finely chopped steak than just some regular mince.. rich, tender, and packed with flavour. Then we add pork mince, a little smoky bacon, homegrown tomatoes and a generous splash of our favourite red from @granitehillswinery and letting it all simmer and come together creating the richest, most comforting sauce. Served over fresh @otwaypastaco spaghetti and finished with a generous grating of good-quality parmesan, it’s the kind of meal that reminds you just how incredible simple ingredients can be when they’re truly high quality. Once you’ve made Bolognese like this, it’s very hard to go back…

As many of you know, we deliver organic, grass-fed beef straight to your door across Victoria. We started this journey because we believe farming should work with nature and that people deserve to feel connected to where their food comes from. By cutting out unnecessary middlemen, we’re able to create a direct connection between the farmer and the family at the dinner table. What started as something we were passionate about for ourselves has grown into a way for others to reconnect with their food too. Here we made a ragu mixed with finally chopped onion, carrot, celery, herbs, red wine, beef stock & tomatoes. End result, a beautiful sauce to place over your favourite pasta 👌
How adorable are our new sheep! 🐑 We’ve alw How adorable are our new sheep! 🐑 We’ve always wanted black-faced Suffolks, not only because they look amazing, but because their black hooves are naturally tougher, especially in wet conditions. That’s a big advantage here in the Otways, where we get plenty of rain throughout the year. It’s one of the same reasons we run Black Angus and Wagyu cattle. Their darker hooves tend to be more resilient in wet environments, helping reduce the risk of hoof rot and other foot issues that can come wit wet conditions. Practical and good-looking, a winning combination! ❤️
Coco and Helen share a truly special bond. Sadly, Coco and Helen share a truly special bond. Sadly, Coco’s mother, one of our old dairy cows, passed away shortly after he was born. What could have been a heartbreaking start to life became something beautiful when Helen stepped in and took him under her wing. For months, she bottle-fed Coco every morning and every evening, giving him the care, comfort, and love he needed to grow strong. Through those countless feedings and quiet moments together, an incredible bond formed between them. Seeing the trust and affection they share today is incredibly heartwarming.. they are such a sweet pair to watch. ❤️

Our cows and calves here at Otway Beef are looking Our cows and calves here at Otway Beef are looking fantastic as we head into winter. The paddocks are still holding a lovely cover of feed and we’re hoping for a few more weeks of mild weather to encourage some extra pasture growth before the colder temperatures slow grass production right down. For now, the herd is thriving and we’re grateful for the season we’ve had so far 💚
